Water in the bottom of the diesel tanks of boats is becoming an increasingly common problem.

​

In the last 15 years it has become more apparent that boats in particular are suffering badly from the growth of microbial contamination, algae and bacteria at the interface between the water and fuel.  This is known as ‘The Diesel Bug'.

 

The bacteria / fungi spores enter fuel tanks via purchased fuel, the breather vent and every time the filler cap is removed. Each spore has the capacity to reproduce over 1,200,000 times every 24 hours in ideal conditions.

 

​If it is left untreated it will eventually spread into the rest of the fuel system and block filters and pipes and eventually pumps and injectors.

 

We provide a mobile service and will travel to your site to perform our fuel polishing/filtration service. 

 

In addition depending on accessibility we can also clean the inside of your tank.
